Hi All,
In the recent years of fountain pen world, we have a purple domination. Although Iroshizuku Yama Budo is not quite a purple but since it is one of the most favorite inks of Iroshizuku, I am adding it to the comparison to Lamy Dark Lilac and Edelstein Amethyst.
Amethyst vs Dark Lilac vs Iroshizuku Yama Budo
In the second photo, you can see those three inks on Tomoe River paper while they are wet. Attention please, they are still wet in this photo. Lamy Dark Lilac is the darkest one among those wet inks and although still dark, you can see Amethyst is a purple while Iroshizuku Yama-Budo is on the pinkier side.
Edelstein Amethyst Sheen vs Lamy Dark Lilac Sheen vs Iroshizuku Yama Budo Sheen
And this third photo is taken after the inks are dried. You can see the huge difference of the inks when they are still wet and completely dried.
Iroshizuku Yama Budo Sheen
Yama-Budo, mordan ziyade koyu bir pembe. Yeşil sarı arası revnakları var. Ve bu üçlünün en az revnaklı olanı.
Pelikan Edelstein Amethyst Sheen
Amethyst ise gerçek bir mürdüm. Bu üçlü arasında en çok revnak Edelstein Amethyst’te.
Lamy Dark Lilac Sheen
*** Yama-Budo is the pinkiest one among three inks and with the least sheen.
*** Amethyst is a real damson and the most sheening ink of those three.
*** Lamy Dark Lilac is a Byzantium purple. Although Amethyst has the most sheen, Lamy Dark Lilac emphasizes it more because of the contrast.
What is your favorite purple?
