Schneider Opus Fountain Pen

Recently I had chance to drop by Rossmann Store. I came across with this Schneider fountain pen and it was only 4,5 TL (approximately 2 EUR) so I bought it without thinking. This fountain pen coming with two cartridges aside, can be very useful for starting a kid to fountain pen, or nib grinding or DIY projects. For example, I am willing to remove the painting and painting again. There is no nib size on the pen, but it is somewhere between F and M, a bit dry though. But for a 2 EUR pen, it bears all limits of the expectations I think.

Schneider Opus Dolmakalem

Have you tried a different ink? I had the same problem with Pilot Plumix, where I feel I am grinding the nib on paper, but once I change the ink, it writes a lot better. Perhaps you can give it a try!

I totally agree with you. Some inks are more lubricated than others. So they tend to mask the scratchy nibs. But I am not planning to use this pen in a daily rotation. I might give it to my sister or just keep it as a collection item. Or it might be a victim of my DIY projects.

Not necessarily a victim, but a forefather for other wonderful forthcoming DIY projects 🙂

pilot diye bilinen kalem yerine al bunu kullan.

    niye bizim buralarda yok bunlardan?

Olaya bak, kalemin ismi bile "pilot kalem" kaldı. Neredeyse kimse, o kalemlerin ismini bilmiyor.

I purschased it too, for a total of about 3 euro, and was disapointed with the quality of writting, which is a bit dry.

I better prefer the Inoxcrom Office, which cost the same, and has an Iridium fountain.

Guti, thank you for your comment.

I don't like dry pens either. However, there are some ways to make it a bit wetter. Maybe you can try those. You can adjust the tiles a bit and cut some arks off the feed. You can find videos from Fountain pen network or from youtube.
