And this post goes tooooo, a reddot design award winning notebook: Sensebook. reddot design award is an award which is granted to many extraordinary designs every year. One of the products won this award on 2010 is TWSBI Diamond. As I like my TWSBI pens, I wanted to try this notebook either.
Sensebook is composed of two pieces: A cow leather flap cover and an inner changable notebook. There is this red paper over the cover which contains the info about the notebook which you can remove. So there is nothing to bother you afterwards.
The cover has a leather belt so that you can easily bound the notebook with it. The leather is a bit rigid but it softens as you use it.
There is a small loop on the right side of the cover where you can put your pen. I generally carry more than one (Ok, I admit, more than five) so I have to carry a separate case (or two) but if you are taking just one pen while going to a meeting, it is functional.
Inner notebook can be easily de-attachable and it is possible to change it with another notebook due to its standard measures. It has no distinctive marking on outside but the difference is on the inside.
Pages of the notebook are quite elaborated. Pages have numbered on the corners. We have seen this on Leuchtturm 1917. Besides, there is a ruler printed at the back. It might be useful for people dealing with technical works. As you might remember we have seen this feature on Rhodia Wirebound Business Notebook.
When it comes to writing performance, even though the paper is nice, frankly I have been disappointed due to shadowing on the back so much that it is not possible to use backside. I guess, I raised my expectations in this notebook. I bought it from a stationery store in Izmir. It has been quite a while since I got it. As far as I remember it was about 30 TL (10 EUR) But it also can be found in Kadikoy. And the inner book is about 9 TL (3 EUR) or you can replace it with another notebook.
Did you like it?
